Vodyanoi

Here is my vision of a Vodyanoi (or Vodyanik, or Vodnik...), a kind of malevolent fresh water goblin from Slavic folklore that has the nasty habits of drowning people and animals as soon as he has the opportunity, or destroying water mills when he's angry. But it can be generous towards fishermen who offer him tobacco by giving them fishes, for the amphibious creature likes to meditate on the banks while smoking his pipe.
