Finally, here's my take on a Dullahan (or Gan Ceann, meaning "headless" in old irish), a category of malevolent fairy from Celtic folklore taking the form of a creepy headless horseman. They are death-bringing spirits who ride a black horse (sometimes the horse's head is floating several yards ahead of the body !), sometimes with a wagon made of bones behind them, and when disturbed in their ghoulish business, they strike intruders with a whip built from a human spine ! Their skin looks like old cheese, their face is always deformed by a hideous smile and bulging eyes, and the only thing they fear is gold...
