Here's my vision of Pele, the Hawaiian goddess of fire and volcanoes, also associated with thunder, hula dance, and violence ! A short-tempered and passionate entity, she's probably the most famous goddess of the Hawaiian pantheon, whose cult is still very important in the local culture nowadays. Pele is thought to live in the Kilauea, a volcano located on the archipelago's main island.
According to the legend, if someone dared to pick up a piece of rock from her volcano and leave the islands with it, her curse would follow this person everywhere until the rock is returned to the Kilauea.
The smoke, the lava and the crater were like a challenge to myself, for this drawing. But I think I did pretty well !
