Animal Gang - Charoc the Vulture (research)

Now, here's some concept arts for animated shorts projects in the context of my animation curriculum ! I decided, for one of these, to exploit my gang of animals. But I also proposed other character designs for the same character ! Here, we have concept arts for the grumpy and jaded griffon vulture of the group, whom I used to name Charoc (pronounced Sharok) !

Due to radiations from a nuclear plant near his parents' nest, he was born with purple feathers. Because of that, Charoc was long mocked by his pairs, and it quickly made him bitter and "misanthropic". Besides, his life consisted in waiting for the death of animals, eating all he could, and waiting again. He was bored, AND was tired of his own kind ; so he gave up on his colony, and went traveling, as far as possible from his home. Charoc, after a long period of nomadic life, met Chiro the bat (who was wandering aimlessly, too) near an old gas station, somewhere in the middle of the great American plains.
