I started watching JoJo's Bizarre Adventure during last summer, and I really got into it. It gave me inspiration for my Extragalax original universe, but also for original stands, attributed to my two best friends, my mother, and myself, for instance. I chose to create both Tarot-related stands, and music-related ones. If choosing musical stands is easy (just selecting a favorite piece of music and build something from it), selecting Tarot arcanas is less obvious, so I based myself on a source which connected Zodiac signs to arcanas of the Tarot.
Here is a small turn of the Tarot stand of my dear friend Mathieu, Star Palladium (Suta Paradia in romaji)! Since his Zodiac sign is Aquarius, the associated Tarot arcana, according to the source I used, is the Star. Although Stardust Crusaders' stands rarely resemble the figures from which they take their name, we made a point of placing several stars on him. For the associated material/colour, he chose palladium, this metal taking its name from the asteroid Pallas, itself named in honor of the Greek goddess Pallas Athena, whose pet is the owl. This choice then made the link with the boss Rechiku, a mechanical owl whose body is a clock, from the game Okami. Thus, nocturnal bird traits and clock parts were attributed to him :)
Star Palladium is a stand of considerable resistance, an effective protector for its user. And contrary to what his opponents might imagine seeing his imposing stature, he is quick, and is able to fly with ease, which often takes them by surprise. In addition, his mastery of swordsmanship makes him particularly formidable in close combat. Like many Stands, he can change his size, and so, grow until he can carry his wielder through the air, like a living hang glider. But the main strength of Star Palladium is his ability to alter time within a radius of 4 meters around it (he can't go away from his user outside this same limit, too), and this, without time limit. In general, he slows it down when he is near a target, but he tends to evolve, and can also speed it up, to give an advantage to an ally for example. The only way for an enemy to anticipate the activation of these temporal powers is the stopping of the hands of the clocks located on the chest and the back of Star Palladium's hands (which tell the time and adjust on their own to offsets schedule). His speed and temporal powers therefore make him a valuable ally for Obsidian Emperor, who can in turn assist him with his power to see 3 seconds into the future. Not to mention the support offered by the powers of Hermit Yellow and Devil's White...
